This place is a mess that carries lots of hidden gems! Really difficult to dig thru the chaos of huge piles of vinyl stacked everywhere.
I'd recommend anyone planning to visit to check out their website first and look for your wax wants, write down what you find and just pass it to people at the counter. A little pricier than most Amsterdam shops.

Together with Rush Hour the best recordshop in Amsterdam, but is it impossible to dig crates as the shop is piled up with records unto the sealing.

Distortion Records carries a wide array of music to satisfy the most hardened music fan. Be prepared to spend hours digging through the endless piles of records scattered throughout the store. Two things: Don't expect to find what you're looking for right away. Most titles are not alphabetized and could be anywhere (although there are sections separating different genres), and new records tend to be a little pricey. This is especially true for the out-of-towner having to convert to Euros. Don't be surprised to spend $30 (US) for a single album. Other than that, the selection is great, the staff friendly, and the location convenient. A diggers (and smokers) dream.
